5th Anniversary Review

Dominion Radio has just completed its full month of activities (July 2013) celebrating five (5) years in broadcasting. God has been extremely good to us and we are very grateful.

The activities were officially launched on July 1st with an opening address by the Founder Reverend Dr Calvin O Hazel. The commemorative “On Air at 5” magazine was also launched.

The month of activities saw Dominion Radio visiting the elderly at their private homes and also two government run homes – The Cardin Home in St Kitts and the Flamboyant Nursing Home in Nevis. A lovely bouquet and a hamper of items to be used for the residents at the homes were presented.

Other activities included an Open Day, Youth Concert and an activity for the children dubbed “Children On The Train Ride”. This involved the children participating live in the studio of Dominion Radio and visits to two of the elderly Pastor Louisa Grant and Sister Winifred Belle. The visits were carried live on radio and the children sang and prayed for these two precious individuals. Pastor Grant anointed each child and spoke words of wisdom over their lives. What a blessing.

Quiz competitions were held every day of each week in the month on various topics. Five questions were asked and the individual with the highest number of points were presented with a gift courtesy of Dominion Radio.

The highlight of the 5th celebrations was the Anniversary and Award Service which took place at the Basseterre Church Of God on July 25th. The service was well attended. Awards were distributed to the businesses and broadcasters who have been with Dominion Radio for the five years. Special mention of Dominion Radio’s adoption of the Air Traffic Controllers, the Meteorologists and Aero-Nautical Information Services Personnel under the management of the St Christopher Air and Seaports Authority (SCASPA) and stationed at the R L B International Airport. These personnel turned out in their numbers and we would like to express our deep gratitude to SCASPA’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Jonathan Bass and Airport Manager Mr Elsworth Warner for their dedication. Thanks also to Mrs Marilyn Rogers, Human Resource Manager for her show of support.

To all of our Sponsors, Broadcasters, Partners and Listeners we say thank you for making the month possible. God bless all of you.
